The decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev “On measures to accelerate the development of the Karakul industry” of March 14, 2018 provided a solid foundation for taking the industry to a new stage of development.

The decree provides for a number of tax and customs benefits for companies engaged in the breeding and processing of Karakul sheep. The document also provides for a set of measures to launch processing facilities and increase export volumes, create a coal mining development fund, improve pasture quality, rehabilitate irrigation facilities for Karakalpak sheep, and build new ones.

As part of the solution, we are working on the construction of 86 mine wells and the repair of 204 buildings. Also this year in the Mubarek region it is planned to build a new plant for the processing of karakul leather.
